## Caveats

- DIY infrastructure rather than an agent-managed sandbox: guest installation, HTTPS/domain setup, abuse controls and operations are customer responsibilities. Linux guest administrative capabilities are not preinstalled agent features. 30% guest CPU utilization does not reduce allocated-compute charges. Unknowns remain null; a partial subtotal is not a complete invoice.
- IPv6 and egress included, IPv4 EUR 0.005/hour separately billed. Power-off stops compute but not disks/IP.
- Apple Silicon provider already exists and is not duplicated. API monthly_price is an estimate, not an automatic cap.
- Storage profile selection changes price; card block-storage rate is a reference profile, not local SSD or every IOPS tier.
- Billing (Instances FAQ, reviewed 2025-12-19, fetched 2026-09-28): "CPU Instances : Billed per hour of uptime (including startup and standby time)"; GPU Instances per minute. Power-off stops compute billing; storage and flexible IPv4 keep billing.
- DIY VM: boot/provisioning time (billed, since uptime includes startup) is not published; boot_overhead_s null.
- Arm mode: alt flag removed 2026-09-28 (an arm64 VM is not a different product).
- Region price multiplier: FR-PAR-3 is +50% for POP2/POP2-HC/HM/HN, PRO2 and GP1 (e.g. POP2-2C-8G €0.0735 in PAR-1 vs €0.1103 in PAR-3). All other zones (PAR-1/2, AMS-1/2/3, WAW-1/2/3, and new IT-MIL-1) match PAR-1 prices. Arm64 BASIC2/STANDARD2 only in PAR-1, PAR-2, AMS-1.
- Compute savings plan: commit EUR 50-9,999/month for 12 or 36 months, discount "up to 25%" (bracket unpublished), cannot be cancelled, identity verification required. It excludes Gen3 (BASIC3/STANDARD3/COMPUTE3/MEMORY3), STARDUST, POP-WIN and GPUs. Not modelled.

## Worked example
4 vCPU / 8 GiB; 50 concurrent × 8 h/day × 22 days = **8,800 guest-hours**; 30% CPU busy; **50 GiB-month total snapshots**, **100 GiB total egress**. 50 GiB retained state is total, not 50 GiB per VM. Compute-only subtotals below exclude unknown components and tax.

Powered-off compute billed: False. A retained-host column is the always-running upper scenario when this is false; powered-off storage/IP still accrue.
Monthly caps attach to instance identities, not to a pool of replacement instances. The active-window column requires deleting/releasing billable compute between shifts for products that bill while off. Restoring from disk is not memory resume. The engine cannot perfectly model these lifecycles; see validation/estimator-gaps.md.
