## Caveats

- Daily caps cannot be represented exactly by engine month_cap; normalized 8-hour day example is unaffected.
- Stopped-server billing and disk/snapshot tariff not verified.
- Unknowns remain null, not free. Normal VM is an ordinary self-serve on-demand VM (alt flag removed 2026-09-28).
- Worked example assumes resources are released between active windows unless a retained-instance scenario is explicitly discussed.
- VAT basis: page prices are tax-inclusive (10% consumption tax); card stores net = gross ÷ 1.10 (fix 2026-09-28; the ¥9,240 → ¥8,400 net is a round list figure, consistent with a 10% gross-up).
- Residency: Japan: Ishikari and Tokyo zones. Exact SKU/price varies by zone.
- Zone prices differ: Ishikari 1 and 3 identical (cheapest); Ishikari 2 is ~25% higher for mid sizes (4C8GB ¥11,550/month, ¥57/h); Tokyo 1/2 ~5% higher (4C8GB ¥9,680, ¥48/h). No Osaka server zone. 2C8GB exists only in Ishikari 3/Tokyo.
- Billing = min(hourly+daily, monthly) on the month's summed running time: 10 h of hourly = 1 day, 20 days = 1 month; so an always-on VM costs the monthly price (~200 h of hourly), and any day with >10 h is capped at the daily price. The engine only models the monthly cap, so >10 h/day but <20-day workloads are overstated.
