## Caveats

- Stopped ECS: compute bills per second ("Open Elastic: Billing of the computing services in the standard price model is based on per-second consumption.") and stops on shutdown, except "The following Elastic Cloud Server Flavors with local disks and Dedicated Hosts are also charged in the shutdown or allocated state" (Ultra-High I/O i3, Disk intensive II d2, Dedicated Host). EVS disks keep billing while stopped: "The basis of billing for Elastic Volume Service and Scalable File Service Turbo is the average GiB of storage provisioned per month." Large bursts or fleets priced on x1e may not get capacity, and spend above EUR 50,000/month on flexible flavors is not available; fall back to s9 on-demand for those.
