Its own website (omnara.com) matches the YC directory entry's domain and description ('Backed by Combinator' banner on homepage), confirming the same company. Funding data beyond the ~$500K YC/Pioneer Fund round is thin and not independently confirmed by press or company statements; treat funding/stage numbers as aggregator estimates, not confirmed figures.

## Caveats

With a BYO provider pool the compute is billed by that provider, not Omnara (Omnara platform fee $0).
- Retention is charged 'in addition to runtime' for every retained machine (not only sleeping ones): while online the effective rate is $0.0414 + ~$0.000278 per GiB-hour. Pool machines are deleted after a configurable idle period (minimum 5 min; 0 disables), after which retention stops.
- Disk is not priced separately because Blaxel machines keep files in RAM: 'Blaxel keeps each machine's files in memory, so give each machine at least 4 GB for coding work' (docs.omnara.com/machines/providers/blaxel.md, 2026-10-14). Size the memory for working set plus files. Region of the managed default pool is unpublished; Blaxel pools offer us-pdx-1, us-was-1, eu-lon-1, eu-fra-1 (BYO Blaxel account, billed by Blaxel).

## Worked example

Requested: 4 vCPU/8 GiB, 50 simultaneous × 8 h/day × 22 days = **8,800 instance-hours**, 30% CPU; 50 GiB snapshots and 100 GiB egress. A month is 730 hours only when explicitly used in rate conversion.

If an 8 GiB machine meets CPU needs, online time is 8,800×8×$0.0414=$2,914.56; 50×8 GiB retained for 30 days adds $80.064. $2,994.62 before models/network; CPU sizing and separate 50 GiB snapshot capability are unknown.
