## Caveats

- Dedicated prices from the live Dedicated page ($59 Intel / $89 M1 / $114 M2 / $164 M4 per month). The checkout plan picker says "Dedicated Server starting at US$49/month" (config/cycle not shown). providers/macincloud.json had M4 $124.99 and M2 $99 from third-party comparison pages; superseded.
- "Dedicated" is a dedicated macOS instance ("Instance on Physical Mac Server"), i.e. a VM with 4 cores by default, not a whole Mac.
- PAYG and Managed plans are non-admin user accounts on shared Macs (flagged alt): no root, no provisioning API; suited to humans, not agents. PAYG page text says both "prepay 30 hours" and "prepaid 25-Hour" credit.
- PAYG hourly/daily spec (vCPU/RAM) depends on the chosen Mac; vcpu/ram left null so the engine will not size-match them.
- Bandwidth: "100/1000 Mbps Port Speed"; no egress price published (null). Static IP included.
- No macOS VM-per-Mac cap disclosure; Apple macOS SLA: leasing a Mac requires a minimum lease of 24 consecutive hours with sole use by the lessee, and allows at most 2 additional macOS VMs per Mac.
- Shared Mac, no admin: Pay-as-You-Go and Managed plans are non-admin user accounts on a shared physical Mac (checkout.macincloud.com: "No Admin/Root Access").
- Managed Server starting prices are hour-limited variants. Live checkout shows 3-hour and 8-hour daily-limit variants; support confirms usage above an Hour Daily Limit is $1 per extra hour and can trigger automatic adjustment to a larger daily limit. Exact total varies by platform/RAM/term and is not modelled.
- Intel Dedicated ($59/mo, macOS Sonoma only) is still on sale but encoded as legacy so the Apple-silicon M1 ($89/mo) is the priced option.
- Checkout contains but hides a $29/month Runner/Agent plan (Azure Pipelines, GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab and TeamCity; no remote desktop; 48-hour trial). It is announced in checkout data but not currently selectable, so it is not an estimator mode.
- Dedicated checkout contains a Docker Dev preset and Jenkins flavor but both are disabled. Do not infer Docker-inside or an available Linux/Docker plan from these announced controls.
- Checkout exposes 10 routing/location choices: LA, Dallas, New York, South America from US East, London, Frankfurt, Mumbai, Singapore, Perth and Sydney. Coarse card regions remain correctly US/EU/Asia/other; the South America choice is routed from US East.

## How this provider charges


MacinCloud (Moboware) has three plan families across 8 data centers (LA, NY, Dallas, Sydney, London, Frankfurt, Singapore, Mumbai):
- **Dedicated Server:** a dedicated macOS *instance* with full admin, 4 cores by default. It runs "on a physical Mac server"; third parties describe it as a VM.
- **Managed Server:** a non-admin user account on a shared physical Mac.
- **Pay-as-You-Go:** the same shared managed account, but prepaid by the hour or by the day.

## Gotchas

1. **"Dedicated" is an instance, not a whole Mac**: 4 cores by default on a physical Mac server.
2. **Managed and PAYG plans are non-admin shared accounts** with no provisioning API. You must log off to stop the meter, because login time is billed. They are unsuitable for agents (flagged `alt` in the card).
3. **Price drift:** the research file had Dedicated M4 at $124.99 (from third-party comparisons). The live Dedicated page says $164.
4. "Starting at" managed prices are for hour-limited plans. Going over the limit bills $1/h.
